My sister in law ( Teri Starosta) has begun a creative venture in photo cards. She has an amazing EYE for photos, loves flowers as well, and has joined forces with a friend to create this web site and store. http://kateriphotocards.com/index.htm
I think it is AMAZING and I wish them all the Best. I don’t think I will ever buy another card ANYWHERE ELSE!
It really is a brillant idea to take cards that everyone uses, and place a photo that can now be kept or framed on them. “By combining the photogaphers’ names, KATERI was born. Unbeknownst to the photographers, it is also the name of a Native American Indian. Kateri Tekakwitha is the patroness of ecology and the environment. ”
She is called “The Lily of the Mohawks,” the “Mohawk Maiden,” the “Pure and Tender Lily,” and the “Fairest Flower among True Men. Maybe another name would be Prairie Flower. Fleur-de-la-Prairie. “The KATERI logo, a clay figure of an Indian woman with a jar, seemed the ideal symbol for a venture intent on capturing the many signs of beauty, especially natural. The jar represents our universal need to fill our souls with the gifts of beauty that surround us all. Our hope is to share with you that beauty.”
You can contact them at 1kateri@comcast.net again it’s those CHICAGO ROOTS.
