I enjoy baking with FLAT LIDS. I have heard some potters think a rounded lid is better but I think the flat lid with air holes works well or just as good? I also used lids mostly to keep things “HOT” and that maybe another reason. Still they fit better in my cabinets as well and I can turn the lid upside down and store more bowls on top. I like the designs I can do on Flat lids as well.
Mary – All of your flat lids always look so nice. How do you get them to fit so well? I’m still having some issues with that. Any helpful hints??

With such a large lid do you fire it off the piece and flat on a kiln shelf?
